Prohealth is a leading, distributor of internationally renowned brands, that includes La Roche-Posay, CeraVe, Ursapharm, Nestle’ Health Science and Infant Nutrition, Galderma, and Rowex, in Malta and overseas. Its subsidiary, TrioMed, is a leader in the local Medical Devices, Hospital Equipment and Health Technology markets, representing industry leaders like Philips Healthcare, Hologic, and Linet.

We are looking to strengthen our management team with the addition of a full-time Accounts Executive.

Job Summary:

The Accounts Executive is responsible for supporting the finance team in managing day-to-day financial operations. This includes maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of accounting principles, proficiency in accounting software, strong organizational skills, and a willingness to learn and grow in a financial role.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Record Maintenance:

  • Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records and ledgers.
  • Perform basic reconciliations of accounts.
  • Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded and filed.

Accounts Payable and Receivable:

  • Process accounts payable invoices and ensure timely payment.
  • Handle accounts receivable functions, including invoicing and processing receipts.
  • Oversee credit management and manage collections.
  • Assist in resolving vendor and customer inquiries regarding payments and receipts.

Financial Reporting:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Help with data entry and analysis for financial reporting purposes.
  • Support the finance team with ad-hoc financial reports as needed.

Compliance and Auditing:

  • Assist in ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide support during internal and external audits by gathering necessary documentation.

Administrative Support:

  • Provide general administrative support to the finance team.
  • Assist with filing, data entry, and maintaining financial records

The Candidate must have:

  • An Advanced Level in Accounting, Diploma in Accounting (MQF Level 4/5), an AAT Qualification or equivalent is required;
  • Previous experience in an accounting role would be considered an asset;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Business Central, Microsoft Excel and IT applications would be considered an asset;
  • Fluency in English
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
