Prohealth has recently expanded its presence in the local Medical Devices, Hospital Equipment and Health Technology markets with the acquisition of TrioMed Limited representing market leaders like Philips Healthcare and Hologic amongst others.  


Job Role:
Over the past twenty-nine years, Prohealth has given top priority and importance to the engagement, well-being, and professional development of its people. The continuous growth in business and headcount, requires enhanced people practices to further support and drive the company’s progression. 

We are looking to strengthen our management team with the addition of a full-time HR Business Partner to align the company’s people strategy with their business strategy.

Purpose:

To develop and implement the company’s HR Strategy, including formulation of an HR vision, to promote an organisational culture of teamwork, service, high quality, transparency, accountability, innovation, and inclusiveness.

To be responsible for various aspects of the HR Function, playing a key role in developing the function through the design and implementation of HR systems and processes that support the organisation and its employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with the CEO to provide a strategic vision for the future development of the HR function to enable Prohealth to meet its future challenges, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the end-to-end HR functions, including talent attraction, recruitment, onboarding, talent development, performance management, and off-boarding.
  • Collaborate with department heads to identify current and future talent needs, ensuring adequate workforce planning and talent acquisition efforts.
  • Design and implement effective personalised employee development and training programmes to nurture talent and promote continuous learning.
  • Together with the Marketing team, develop and execute innovative talent attraction strategies to attract and retain top-tier candidates.
  • Proactively address talent shortages and create workforce retention initiatives to boost employee engagement and reduce turnover.
  • Advise and support managers in the performance management process to address employee relations issues.
  • Provide strategic oversight and direction to remuneration policies and practices.
  • Ensure compliance with employment as well as health & safety laws, regulations, and company policies, maintaining a fair and inclusive work environment.
  • Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, fostering a diverse and inclusive culture.
  • Maintain HR metrics and analyse data to provide insights and recommendations for improvement.

The Candidate must:

  • Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in HR, with proven experience in developing and implementing HR strategies.
  • Have a tertiary degree or post-graduate degree in HR.
  • Be assertive having the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organisation.
  • Can adapt to new challenges quickly.
  • Have exceptional leadership skills.
  • Have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Be fluent in spoken and written English and Maltese.

Previous experience in a similar position will be considered an asset.
